    Work Experience

    Graphic Designer/Business Consultant

2008-Present   |   TRaschi Designs   |   Los Angeles, CA

I established TRaschi Designs in 2007 to help artists and small businesses gain exposure. TRaschi Designs helps artists and business owners establish and promote their brand, and it also offers business consultation services.

    Technical Writer

2007-2008   |   Humboldt Merchant Services   |   Eureka, CA

HMS provides businesses with the ability to accept and process credit card payments. As the Technical Writer, I designed informational posters and flyers, compiled manuals, and created marketing materials for company campaigns. I also formatted the merchant applications and other forms for both internal and external use, and created/edited documents for distribution within the company, to our clients, and to our business partners.

Interactively redefining the position, in addition to technical writing, I trained department staff to effectively manage workflow and expand department offerings.

Established uniformity and brand identity by instituting consistent formatting standards for company documents, and redesigning forms, manuals, fliers, and marketing materials

Evolved existing file naming protocol and organizational methods, increasing accessibility to existing content and assets

Converted the Equipment Manual from an outdated static document to a versatile and flexible web-enabled application, greatly improving speed, accuracy and completeness of information delivered to the Technical Support Team

Ensured the sustainability of these upgrades by training the Project Development Department staff to utilize Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office on a professional level

Awarded the HMS GEM Award for Fun at Work

I worked primarily in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver, as well as Microsoft Office.

    Customer Service Representative I

2006-2007   |   Humboldt Merchant Services   |   Eureka, CA

When I began at HMS, I worked in the call center, providing technical support and troubleshooting, instructions for properly processing transactions, and advising on all facets of merchant accounts, including how to calculate deposits, read statements, and monitor usage. I also edited and updated account information and contacted merchants with pertinent information when discrepancies arose.

Fielded a consistently high volume of calls, exceeding expected daily call volume

Researched and implemented a paperless process for sending past statements to clients, ensuring greater security of confidential information, and reducing paper waste and downtime between calls

Wrote a Spanish language translation of common messages and a phonetic script for CSR's to use when relaying standard information to our Spanish-speaking clients.

Awarded two HMS GEM Awards for Innovation

I applied my knowledge of standard programs, such as MS Word, Outlook, and Excel, and learned several software programs that were either created by in-house developers for our company's purposes, or that are industry-specific (such as First Data's DOS-based FDR, and Vericenter's Web Console). Additionally, I was recognized with two awards for Innovation for updating various Customer Service procedures.
